The Labyrinth of Esoteric Learning - How it Works and Why it Works

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools.
Of what redeemable personal or social value is an "education without enlightenment?"
Of what reasonable purport is there to all of the academic screed, the information overload and the rhetorical flourishes, of the pseudo eloquent posturing of debating societies, without first comprehending the art of meaningful reciprocal dialogue?
The Virtual Free University*offers a philosophical map for peacemaking, based on an ecumenical pacifist oral tradition, that dates back over four thousand years, i.e.: in the Vedanta Philosophy, but is observable today in 12 Step recovery circles.
It may be very difficult for some at first, especially for those indoctrinated by the mercenary agendas of linear systems of schooling, to adapt to a pragmatic esoteric de-schooling, via labyrinthine pattern recognition, but your perseverance will be rewarded. This is the portal out of the Matrix:
Contrary to popular opinions about what a university is, here, there are no hierarchies, no masters, or doctors degrees. It is a horizontal line, or a circle, but not a vertical pyramid. There are no official buildings, or rigid timetables and everyone decides for themselves what field of study they will engage in, under the stoic mean that "virtue is sufficient for happiness."
Everyone at the VFU* is at once a student and a mentor and we learn by reciprocal interchange of information, from mind to mind.
We do guarantee that the programs will work, if you work them. You make of it what you will and you will get back abundant returns on what you invest, not necessarily just the monetary ones. The VFU* is a de-school for peacemakers, so that you can "graduate with honors from life."
We do not suggest that you necessarily abandon your pursuit of whatever educational, or institutional goals you find yourself engaged in at present. We do suggest however, that you may want to consider the advantageous alternative options that the VFU* offers, in terms of a holistic approach to your higher learning, supplementing it, in order to get the most out of it.
